Pathway Forensics’ backup tape services provide cataloging, indexing, collection, analysis and processing of backup data for digital investigations and E-Discovery needs. Through restoration or indexing and searching directly from tape, we can and search most backup tape formats for relevant data and extract for further analysis and production. Backup tape services are available for cases involving a single tape to cases involving hundreds of tapes and include:
- Direct catalog and indexing of backup tape
- Support for LTO, DLT, SDLT tape formats, other formats available on request
- Support for Exchange, internet based email (mbox) and Lotus Notes
- Support for back up formats; ArcServe, BrightStor, Tivoli, NetBackup, Backup Exec, CommVault, NetWorker, Legato, and Ultrabac
- Full text/metadata indexing of unstructured files and email (Exchange, Notes, etc.)
- Forensically sound extraction of files and emails from backup tapes
